This high-energy human resources executive has many years of HR experience worldwide and has been in middle to senior level HR management positions for 20 of these years. John has recently worked with Mideast organizations, developing domestic and international compensation and benefits programs, leadership and succession planning, and manpower analysis/planning. John’s most recent assignment was with Saudi Basic Industries Corporation (SABIC) in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, the world’s fourth largest petrochemical company, where he served as an advisor/consultant to senior management at the corporate headquarters and also to the presidents of 17 affiliate companies. Within the Performance & Rewards Group, he focused mostly on developing competency-based career ladders for engineers and R&D scientists. To an already impressive HR portfolio John has added competency development, coupled with its application to compensation schemes, individual/ group development planning, and learning management systems.
As Vice-President/Human Resources with the Arab Banking Corporation in New York City (ABC/NY) during the 1990s, John developed a full array of HR programs, including performance management, incentive compensation, and healthcare management programs. During this time he also became a certified Hay System expert and since then has successfully used this expertise to develop basic pay structures and to enhance succession planning. As project manager for relocation of the bank, he demonstrated his ability to manage effectively outside the HR discipline by successfully engaging in office space planning and design (ergonomics and safety), commercial real estate, and office systems/communications technology.
John was born and raised in Boston, Massachusetts, where he excelled as a student and a three-sport athlete. He received his Bachelor of Arts in American History at Amherst College, where he lettered in baseball and American football, and later completed an international MBA with the Thunderbird School of Global Management , majoring in Financial Management and serving as Student Body President. He has extensive international business experience, living and working in four countries and traveling to many others.
